Philanthropy

Please Donate To Our Philanthropy!

Each year, the brothers of Kappa Alpha Order host their week long philanthropy to raise money for MDA (Muscular Dystrophy Association). MDA is the world’s largest non-governmental research organization for causes and effects as well as treatments for neuromuscular diseases.

If you are unfamiliar with the organization, there are over 40 diseases that MDA research is trying to aid. These awful diseases can start anytime between birth, teenage years, or adult life and all of them slowly weaken muscle control throughout the body, walking difficulty, and respirtory problems. Some of these diseases are non-life threatening, while others, such as ALS (Lou Gehrig ’s disease), cause paralysis and are eventually fatal.

Millions of people worldwide are diagnosed with this awful disease, and they need our help. That is why we are asking for your generosity to please donate to our philanthropy project and the Muscular Dystrophy Association. MDA needs your help and any donation you can make will be appreciated and not go unnoticed.

The brothers of Kappa Alpha Order take pride and enjoy participating in our philanthropy activities. Each spring, the KA Rosebowl is held to raise money towards Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). This week-long volleyball tournament is one of the most exciting weeks of the year and represents a cause we feel is extremely important.

KA also hosts the Tyler Gray Memorial 5K race to raise money for the American Cancer Society Relay for Life. Unfortunately, this horrible disease has affected at least one person in every one’s life and we are dedicated to help benefit cancer research as best as we can.

Helping those in need is something that should never be overlooked, and we feel our efforts towards these two foundations are not only necessary, but define the Order that is Kappa Alpha. We are proud to sponsor these events year after year and plan to expand our philanthropy projects each year.

To learn more about these two foundations please visit either of these websites.
