About Us The Zeta Theta Chapter of Kappa Alpha Order was established at James Madison University, Harrisonburg, VA in 1995 with the intention of upholding the ideals of General Robert E. Lee, especially those concerning gentlemanly conduct and the respect and esteem of women. Although only receiving our charter in the Spring of 1995 and becoming a member of JMU's Inter-Fraternity Council at the end of Spring 1996, Zeta Theta has grown to over 75 brothers . Our activities include social, as well as philanthropic events. Throughout the year we organize several fundraisers to help support our national philanthropy, MDA. Just recently, we helped MDA raise over $30,000 at the annual MDA Lock-Up. Our chapter has been recognized nationally by Kappa Alpha Order, receiving the Samuel Z. Ammen Award. The Ammen is awarded to the top 15% of KA Chapters in the country. In addition, Zeta Theta was honored by the Greek Community for the following accomplishments: GIVEN TO THE TOP 3 KA CHAPTERS IN THE NATION
Overall, Zeta Theta is a young chapter, determined to make its presence known in the JMU Greek and Social community through the formation of lifetime brotherhood and the preservation of the values of Lee as Knights of the Kappa Alpha Order.
