Philanthropy

JMU's Kappa Alpha Order Chapter holds many different philanthropic events. The primary events are Rosebowl & 5k Race.

Rosebowl is KA's week-long philanthropic event held to raise money for our national charity,Muscular Dystrophy Association. The main event of the week is a sorority-wide volleyball tournament held at North 38, with the winning sorority being awarded $500 towards their charity. All proceeds from this event are donated to MDA

The 5K race is something that are chapter has held annually for cancer research and support. We hold this race in order to signify the importance of the cause. This is not solely for the purpose of our cause but also to unite the community together with one another. Any support would be amazing. The race will be held at JMU on the festival lawn on November 16th at 1pm with the finishing time of 4pm. Any participation would be great and remember the cause is amazing.
